Alterations
There can be a lot to think about if you are considering alterations to your property.
Is a building regulation application required?
Do the proposed works require Listed Building Consent?
Do any of the proposed works involve alterations to structural elements which will require a design by a structural engineer?
Is a planning application required?
This list is probably not exhaustive but, with the experience of Erwood & Morris Ltd, we can guide you and arrange the necessary permissions and applications or by putting you in contact with surveyors, engineers and architects as appropriate.
Erwood & Morris Ltd have previously won an award for ‘Alterations and Extension to a Listed Building’, from Bath & N E Somerset Council Building Control Department. This involved major structural and layout alterations to an existing property, where basically only the 4 walls were left standing, and even then some of these walls were removed, a new roof, first and ground floor structure and internal partitions were then installed.
We are happy to discuss any alterations that you are considering to your property, so that you are aware of both feasibility and likely works involved.
